Terms and Conditions

The promoter is Unilever South Africa Proprietary limited (“the Promoter”).

The promotional campaign is open to all South African residents in possession of a valid identity document over the age of 18 years.

The promotional campaign is not open to any director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Promoter, the marketing service providers or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by these entities, including their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.

By participating in this campaign participants agree to receive future marketing material from the brand/s on promotion. However, the participant has the right to unsubscribe to receiving marketing material or request the promoter to delete their information by contacting the Promoter at 15 Nollsworth Crescent, Nollsworth Park, La Lucia, 4051 Att: Legal Department or opting out from any electronic marketing message.

All personal information (‘Personal Data’) supplied by participants shall be processed in accordance with South African data protection legislation and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.

This promotional campaign is open from 1 July to 30 September 2023

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS & PRIZES

1. live promoters, scanning the QR code, on banners, digital screens, facilitator cards. Click the link if applicable on the Domestos social media, digital, SMS and influencer posts in the campaign ad as displayed on the channel/s.  For example platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube etc.

2. Complete the sign up details, accept the terms and conditions, follow the prompts to stand a chance to win an instant prize. Winners will be notified once all prompts have been followed and should you be a winner, there will be a pop-up message to indicate that you are a winner. Should a message not appear, or the pop-up message say “You are not a winner this time, but keep looking for our next campaign on social media”, no prize will be allocated.

Please note, not all users/participants will receive a prize (not all users will be “winners”).

3. Participants enter at no cost. Standard data rates and network charges may apply, and errors will be billed.

4. Scanning the QR code and entering the campaign will be available at activation locations only. Entries will only be valid if they have originated through a QR code scan via an activation campaign. The Campaign owner reserves the right to ban any Non valid entrants and any prizes won by any such entrants may be deemed invalid and therefore revoked and cancelled.

5. Entrants will have one entry to the campaign, to stand a chance to win an instant prize. A one play limit will be instituted based on a unique cell phone number, unique email address and any other additional form of data available at the time of entry to the campaign.

6. Entrants will be notified of instant prizes via SMS.
Participants stand a chance to win one of the prizes comprising of:

a. 20 000 x Free Domestos Multipurpose Stain Removal Thick Bleach Cleaner 750ml (all variants)
Coupons are only redeemable instore at the listed retailer as indicated per coupon ie:

Pick ‘n Pay or Pick n Pay Hypermarket stores

Shoprite or Checkers or Checkers Hyper stores

Dis-Chem stores

Valid exclusively for 1 Free Domestos Multipurpose Stain Removal Thick Bleach Cleaner 750ml (all variants) ie:

Regular, Lemon, Whitening, Summer, Lavender

All coupons are valid until 30 September 2023.

Coupons cannot be used against products that are on promotion or already discounted. 

Coupons can only be redeemed against full price products.

One coupon per transaction only.

If a coupon is lost and subsequently used by someone other than the winner, the 

Promoter/s will not replace the coupon and the winner will bear such loss. 

This coupon will be subject to all the terms and conditions relating to the usage of digital coupons by the respective providers, details which can be obtained from such providers’ official company websites.

Campaign artwork is for illustrative purposes only.

Prizes are not exchangeable for cash or transferable.  The Promoters reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to substitute the prize with any other prize of comparable value for whatsoever reason.
In the event that the prize is not available despite the Promoter’s reasonable endeavours to procure the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value.


SELECTING WINNERS
The Winners will be required to provide their name, ID number (if required), Copy of their identity document, physical address, and contact details.
Winners of the instant gratification prizes will be selected by means of a random selection/draw and if required will be contacted for verification where the Winners will be required to verify their details. The Promoter (or their agent) will endeavour to contact the prize Winner once every day for 5 consecutive working days after their name is drawn. If the Prize Winner cannot be contacted during this period, the Prize will be forfeited and another Winner will be selected in accordance with the rules.

Each prize winner (natural person) shall be entitled to 1 coupon only, The campaign owner reserves the right to request proof of identity for each coupon won and each entry, in-order to ensure each entry belongs to a natural person and is unique, any attempt to provide alternative details to gain more than 1 prize per person, shall be deemed against the Terms and Conditions of this campaign and the Campaign Owner may ban any Entrants who attempt this and reserve the right to cancel any prizes in the market belonging to any of these Entrants.

DELIVERY OF PRIZE

The instant gratification prizes will be delivered via SMS coupon.
The Winners will be required to provide the Promoter with a valid cellular number to enable delivery of the SMS coupon.

GENERAL

A copy of these rules can be found on the Unilever South Africa website throughout the period of the campaign or can be obtained from the Consumer Call Centre on telephone number 0860-572-861.

The Promoter shall not be responsible for any lost, damaged, delayed, incorrect or incomplete entries for any reason whatsoever. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

The Promoter shall not be responsible for the failure of any technical element relating to this promotion that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted, or access to the entry page not being available due to any technical issue.

Responsibility is not accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed as a result of any network, computer or cell phone hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any claim or blacklist any entrant, if fraud or cheating is suspected, including without limitation, through the manipulation of code or otherwise frequently falsifying data

No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.

Any attempt to use multiple e-mail, cell phone or Facebook accounts or other tactics to enter or vote more than the stated limit may result in disqualification and all associated entries and/or votes will be void. Entries or votes generated by script, macro, bot, commercial contest subscription, incentives or other means not sponsored by the Promoter, vote-swapping sites, voting software, entering service sites or any other automated means and entries or votes by any means that subvert the entry/voting process or do not conform to the terms or spirit of these campaign rules, will void the entry/votes and may disqualify the entrant.

The Promoter makes no representation or warranty concerning the appearance, safety or performance of any prize awarded. On receipt, all responsibilities relating to warranty and the product are that of the prize winner as per the prize supplier’s terms & conditions:

The Promoter shall have the right to change or terminate the promotional campaign immediately and without notice, if deemed necessary in its opinion and if circumstances arise outside of their control. In the event of such change or termination, all participants agree to waive any rights that they have in respect of this promotional campaign and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter or its agents.

The Promoter reserves the right to use the images taken of the Winner for publicity purposes in any manner they deem fit, without remuneration being made payable to the Winner.  However, the Winner has the right to object to these images being used by written notification to the Promoter at 15 Nollsworth Crescent, Nollsworth Park, La Lucia, 4051 Att: Legal Department.

Neither the Promoter, its agents, its associated companies, nor any directors, officers or employees of such, shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the participant or the Winner.

The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Participation in the promotional campaign constitutes acceptance of the promotional campaign rules and participants agree to abide by the rules.

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Shoprite/Checkers, Pick n Pay, Dis-Chem and the retailers are a point of redemption only. Participants acknowledge that they are providing information to the 

Promoter and its agents only and not to Shoprite/Checkers, Pick n Pay or Dis-Chem.
All participants in this campaign release Shoprite/Checkers, Pick n Pay, Dis-Chem and 

Berelo Innovations  from all liabilities and claims arising out of or in connection with this campaign and these terms and conditions.
