Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply exclusively to this Promotional Campaign(“Competition”). By entering the Competition participants agree to have read, understood, and accepted the same. Participation in the Competition constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

1. The promoter is Unilever South Africa (Pty) Ltd (“the Promoter”).

2. The name of the competition is Lifebuoy FIFA WWC Spar Competition 2023.

3. The promotional competition is only open to South African citizens & residents in possession of a valid identity document:
a) Entrants must be over the age of 18.
b) The entrant cannot be a juristic entity and must be an individual.

4. The promotional competition is not open to any director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Promoter, the marketing service providers or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by these entities, including their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.

5. This promotional competition is open from 8 August 2023 and ends at 12am (midnight) 15 October 2023. (“Competition Period”). No late or incomplete entries will be considered.

6. The promoter has the discretion to extend, suspend or cancel the competition beyond the outlined dates.

7. Consumers wishing to enter must go to the following website https://lifebuoyxfifawwc.co.za/  promoted via digital, in-store advertising, SMS and influencer posts in the competition campaign as displayed on the channel/s

8. Complete the sign up details, which include uploading a clear till slip showing that they purchased any 2 (two) Lifebuoy products from any Spar, Superspar,  Kwikspar, Spar Express or Savemore store nationwide.

9. during the promotional period, accept the terms, follow the prompts to stand a chance to win one of the prizes, as listed below.

10. Participants enter at no cost save for, standard data rates and network charges may apply, and errors will be billed.

11. Entrants may enter as many times as they like, but a new till slip indicating the new purchase of any 2 Lifebuoy products must be presented with each entry for it to be valid.

12. Winners will be notified within 2 weeks post the expiry of the competition . They will be sent an SMS with the details of their prize and how to redeem, or called to arrange for prizes to be delivered.

13. Participants stand a chance to win (1) one of the below prizes comprising of:
a. 100 X R1500 Total Sports vouchers which can be redeemed at participating Total Sports stores nationwide, locations available at - https://bash.com/store-finder.
b. 100 X Banyana Banyana official jerseys, winners will redeem this prize by entering a digital voucher on the following website - https://lecoqsportif.co.za/collections/bafana-bafana-collection.
c. 5 X Soccer team kits, each one made up of: 20 X outfield player kits (Shirt, shorts and socks);
d. 2 X Goal keeper kits (Shirt, shorts / pants, socks and gloves).

14. Each entrant is limited to only win once/one prize.

15. Prizes are not exchangeable for cash or transferable.  The Promoters reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to substitute the prize with any other prize of comparable value for whatsoever reason.

16. If a prize / voucher is lost and subsequently used by someone other than the winner, the Promoter/s will not replace the prize / voucher and the winner will bear such loss. These prizes / vouchers will be subject to all the terms and conditions relating to the usage of prizes / vouchers by the respective providers, details which can be obtained from such providers’ official company websites.

17. Competition artwork is for illustrative purposes only.

18. The Competition is only valid within South Africa. Participants must be within South Africa at the time of entering the Competition, for the verification process and at the time of the prize being awarded should they be declared the Winner, failing which such person will be disqualified and a new winner will be selected as per the rules of the competition.

19. By participating and opting-in to SMS and Email communication in this competition participants agree to receive future marketing material from the brand/s on promotion. However, the participant has the right to unsubscribe to receiving marketing material or request the promoter to delete their information by contacting the Promoter at 15 Nollsworth Crescent, Nollsworth Park, La Lucia, 4051 Att: Legal Department or opting out from any electronic marketing message.

21. The Winner may be required to sign an Indemnity and Media Release forms.

22. A copy of these rules can be found on the competition website http://tsandcs.info/lifebuoy page throughout the period of the competition.

23. Failure to claim the Prize or a refusal or inability to complete required documentation or comply with any of the competition requirements within 48 hours will disqualify the Winner and a new Winner will be drawn in terms of these rules.

24. The Promoter shall not be responsible for any lost, damaged, delayed, incorrect or incomplete entries for any reason whatsoever. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

25. To the extent that any taxes, duties, levies or other charges may be levied on a prize by the State or any other competent government or regulatory body, the winner/s will be liable therefore, and the Promoter/s will not increase the value of the prize/s to compensate for such charges.

26. The Promoter shall not be responsible for the failure of any technical element relating to this promotion that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted.

27. Responsibility is not accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed as a result of any network, computer or cell phone hardware or software failure of any kind.  Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

28. The Promoter makes no representation or warranty concerning the appearance, safety or performance of any prize awarded. On receipt, all responsibilities relating to warranty and the product are that of the prize winner as per the prize supplier’s terms & conditions.

29. The Promoter will not replace any lost or stolen prize items.

30. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any claim if fraud or cheating is suspected, including without limitation, through the manipulation of code or otherwise frequently falsifying data.

31. No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.

32. NOTE: Any attempt to use multiple e-mail, cell phone or Facebook accounts or other tactics to enter or vote more than the stated limit may result in disqualification and all associated entries and/or votes will be void.

33. Entries or votes generated by script, macro, bot, commercial contest subscription, incentives or other means not sponsored by the Promoter, vote-swapping sites, voting software, entering service sites or any other automated means and entries or votes by any means that subvert the entry/voting process or do not conform to the terms or spirit of these competition rules, will void the entry/votes and may disqualify the entrant.

34. The Promoter reserves the right to use the images taken of the Winner for publicity purposes in any manner they deem fit, without remuneration being made payable to the Winner.  However, the Winner has the right to object to these images being used by written notification to the Promoter at 15 Nollsworth Crescent, Nollsworth Park, La Lucia, 4051 Att: Legal Department.

35. The Promoter shall have the right to change or terminate the promotional competition immediately and without notice, if deemed necessary in its opinion and if circumstances arise outside of their control.  In the event of such change or termination, all participants agree to waive any rights that they have in respect of this promotional competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter or its agents.

36. In the event that the Prize is not available despite the Promoter’s reasonable endeavours to procure the Prize, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize for one of equal value.

37. Neither the Promoter, its agents, its associated companies, nor any directors, officers or employees of such, shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the participant or the Winner.

38. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

39. Participation in the promotional competition constitutes acceptance of the promotional competition rules and participants agree to abide by the rules.

40. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook Instagram, or any other social media platform that may be used as an intermediary, and it is not affiliated with them, and the participants acknowledge that they are providing information to the Promoter and its agents only and not to Facebook, Instagram or any other social media platforms.

41. All participants in this Competition release Facebook, Instagram or any other social media platforms from all liabilities and claims arising out of or in connection with this competition and these terms and conditions.

42. The Promoter reserves the right to delete any information uploaded by a participant which the Promoter, in its absolute discretion, believes is illegal, obscene, offensive or defamatory, or infringes the intellectual property rights of a third party, or is otherwise inappropriate for a campaign designed for mass audience entertainment.

43. Participants warrant that they have full rights to the images and stories that they upload and that the use of the said material shall not constitute a breach of any third party’s copyright or other intellectual property rights.

44. Participants agree that by uploading their “images”, names and/or stories, they grant permission to the Promoter to use the images, names or stories or any part thereof, in any and all media for promotional / marketing purposes with no consideration payable to the participants.
